Entry Point From Canon: just before Civil War
Media Type: movies
Powers/Abilities/Skills: Steve's Abilities
Heroic/Villainous/Neutral: Steve Rogers is definitely on the HEROIC side of things, and has been pretty much since he was a tiny punk with breathing problems. There's been a lot of discussion of Steve's morality and his alignment. Some people say Lawful Good, some people say Chaotic. Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, even Slytherin. Part of it is, to my mind that Steve's got something of a dichotomy, having to do with the turning point in his life (namely when he was changed by Dr. Erskine's formula). Because for Steve, there's the part of him that's always been powerless and then there's the part that's got the power to change things; there's the man, Steve Rogers, and then there's the figure, both publicly perceived and in practice, of Captain America. And I would say that people perceive Cap as Lawful Good, but Steve Rogers is Chaotic Good, and the real answer is between them at Neutral Good. And I'd say that depending on how close someone is to him, they have a better or a worse idea of where he is on that scale.
I don't intend to shift him around much, I'll be honest. He's a good man, and being a good man is an intrinsic and important part of his character.
Mentor/Journeyman/Rookie: JOURNEYMAN. Some people might be surprised at that, but honestly, I don't feel that Steve always has the best handle on how to be a hero that people understand. I still feel a lot of the time that he's unsure of his path but sure of his feelings and his beliefs. I do think he will become a mentor soon enough, and I think that he's been put into the role of mentor more than once and to many characters within canon (especially as shown in Civil War, but I think his comfort level is more at Journeyman and while he'll step in to do such things, there are also places where he needs wisdom and guidance and someone to bolster him.
Which Area(s) Of The City Interest You For Your Character? The City of Tomorrow, obviously, is going to be one of the places that Steve spends some time in, since it's the best of the city and I could see him enjoying that. But at the same time, I could see him taking an apartment in the City of Shadows, as that's closer to what he's lived in and what he's familiar with. I feel like his heart would be there and it might be interesting to see how he handles some of the situations there since the MCU hasn't had him deal with more street crime like situations. Obviously, I want to toss him at Sorcery because watching Steve with a SWORD and shield could be amazing. And Adventure, definitely adventure. But he could certainly use a spin in Romance and he might really get a good laugh (which he needs GOODNESS DOES HE NEED IT) in Laughter.
